More Information on the BRC2:

The Basic RiderCourse 2 is geared toward experienced riders that want to develop further and challenge the needed skills to ride smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The class consists of a 4-hour online eCourse, 1-2 hours of interactive classroom learning, and approximately 5 hours of riding exercises. Successful completion of this course qualifies participants for a Colorado motorcycle license.  Even riders that have quite a bit of riding experience can find something to take away from these exercises designed to sharpen braking, cornering, swerving, and control skills. The riding exercises will conclude with a knowledge test and a skills evaluation.

In the classroom, we will talk about proven thinking strategies that help keep riders more aware when out on the roads.  We will discuss various topics, including situational awareness, risk reduction, traffic “traps,” driving tendencies, perception, visual acuity, and reaction time.

For the riding exercises, students will focus on more advanced riding techniques, including tight cornering, corner judgment, swerving, and emergency braking.

*PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Before riding participation, you must complete the free online eCourse, which will help you get ready to ride a motorcycle. This eCourse covers essential safety guidelines, basic riding techniques, and road rules. It typically takes 4-hours to complete and can be done conveniently on your phone or computer at any time. You must bring a printed copy of your eCourse completion certificate before class, and you must complete the eCourse WITHIN 30 days of your class start date. We recommend that you do NOT fully complete your eCourse but rather complete 99% of it at your convenience BUT COMPLETE THE LAST 1% OF IT THE DAY OR NIGHT BEFORE YOUR CLASS because if, for any reason, there is a need to reschedule and you get into a later class date, and your eCourse is more than 30 days old, unfortunately, you will have to re-take the ENTIRE 4-hour Course. Please do yourself a favor and COMPLETE THE LAST 1% OF YOUR ECOURSE THE DAY OR NIGHT BEFORE YOUR CLASS, just in case there is a need to reschedule.

*Disclaimer:

The Basic Rider Course 2 curriculum is for intermediate riders, and most walk out of the class with a motorcycle endorsement, the skills, and the proper mindset ready for the roads. However, there is no guarantee that you will pass the course on your first attempt. Chain Reaction/Ricky Orlando Motorcycle School understands that riding a motorcycle is not a walk in the park or a piece of cake. Riding safely and adequately is not a natural skill; it takes dedication, time, and practice. Some students need more seat time to develop safe riding habits, and some students just need a fresh start and a new day to try again, which is totally okay. And some might need more time or hear something explained differently to truly understand and grasp the concepts essential to riding a motorcycle. We know that everyone learns differently, and sometimes, it takes more time on the bike or in the classroom to gain the skills or understanding to stay safe and fully enjoy the experience of riding a motorcycle on the roadways. We have seen and learned different training styles, and we truly believe that the MSF Basic Rider Course 2 is one of the best ways to improve as a rider while earning a motorcycle endorsement. No matter the outcome, we will work with you as long as it takes to achieve your goals and dreams!
